Cheerleading
Cheerleading is a very versatile sport that ranges in a multitude of competitive levels. Despite these ranges, all cheerleading athletes require high levels of flexibility, agility, balance, strength, and endurance. Cheerleaders also often spend countless hours perfecting their routines, which increases the likelihood of injury and overuse issues when proper strength and conditioning is neglected.
Cheerleading tends to promote athletes being placed into precarious positions while being thrown into the air, tumbling on the ground, and other high speed movements. These movement patterns require proper preparation and high levels of strength to tolerate these positions without risking an increased chance of injury.
At the Fitness Lab, our trainers begin by performing a full functional assessment aimed at identifying any underlying weaknesses and imbalances in the body. From their assessment, our trainers work with you to develop a customized functional strength and conditioning program designed to prevent injuries while maximizing your performance.
