Hockey
Anyone who has ever played hockey knows how physically demanding the sport can be. To accel as a hockey player in today’s game, you need a balance on-ice vision, stick-handling skills, precise shooting and passing, and physical toughness.
Most players receive great coaching on the ice which helps to hone these hockey specific skills but fail to properly condition the athletes off the ice. Lack of overall strength and conditioning leads to muscular imbalances, decreased athletic performance, and eventual injury. At the Fitness Lab, we offer hockey specific training programs that are designed to make you skate faster, hit harder, and increase your accuracy with shooting while decreasing your overall risk of injury on the ice.
Our trainers evaluate each athlete by using a functional movement assessment designed to identify each players’ specific strength and weaknesses. From the functional evaluation, our trainers work with the athlete to develop an individualized training program that is designed to improve functional movement, increase strength and flexibility, and improve speed while helping to decrease their risk of injuries.
Are you looking to get stronger, skate faster, and improve your shooting accuracy? Are you looking to prevent hockey-related injuries this season?
