Meet The Team

Dr. Chris Munoz, PT, DPT, CSCS, TPI-M2

Chris has been in the health and fitness industry since 2017. After attaining his Bachelors in Health and Exercise Science, he became a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist and completed a strength and conditioning internship at Ski and Snowboard Club Vail. While at his internship, Chris fell in love working with return to sport athletes and wanted to bridge the gap between strength and conditioning and physical therapy. This led to his enrollment at the physical therapy program at Regis University. Upon graduation, Chris worked as a sports PT treating patients ranging from pediatric to professional athletes before joining the team at The Fitness Lab.

Chris strongly emphasizes that education and proactivity are key components to establishing an effective treatment plan. He believes that each patient’s plan should be individualized, based on the best available evidence, and be patient goal directed. His advanced training post graduation has included Titleist Professional Institute Medical 2, dry needling level 1, Selective Functional Movement Assessment, Isometric Strength Training, and Sports Performance. As a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist, Chris tends to take a more active approach to help patients get back to the activities they love.

Outside of the clinic, Chris enjoys participating in S&C, golfing, snowboarding, and spending time with his significant other, Tara, and golden retriever, Finley.
