What to Expect

A Tailored Approach

  • Pre-Fit Consultation: Your bike fitter will discuss your cycling history, objectives, and any issues during this initial consultation, thereby setting the stage for the fitting process.
  • Physical Evaluation: The bike fitter will analyze your body’s strength, flexibility, and proportions. This may include measurements of leg length, foot structure, hamstring flexibility, hip flexor mobility, sciatic nerve flexibility, etc.
  • On-Bike Evaluation: While you cycle on a stationary trainer, the bike fitter will assess your current position by examining your body angles, knee alignment, and foot-pedal interaction.
  • Bike Adjustments: Using the information gathered, the fitter will modify your bike setup. This could involve adjusting the saddle height or position, changing the handlebar height or reach, and altering the position of your cleats.
  • Fine-Tuning and Follow-Up: Post initial adjustments, the fitter will observe you cycling again to further refine the setup. A follow-up session may be scheduled to assess how you’ve adapted to the changes and make any additional necessary adjustments.
