Melanie grew up in Virginia, spending most of her childhood on the soccer field or in the pool. Being active from a young age sparked her early appreciation for movement, teamwork, and disciplined training. In college, she fell in love with endurance running thanks to her mom, completing her very first race with her mom by her side. Through her own experiences with sports and running injuries, Melanie discovered that physical therapy is far more than treating the physical body — it’s about supporting the whole person. She realized how meaningful it was to help someone regain confidence, identity, and joy in movement.
Drawn to both the human side of rehab and the science of the body, Melanie pursued physical therapy as a way to combine her passion for helping others with her fascination for how adaptable, resilient, and capable the human body can be. Melanie is committed to helping people move with strength, resilience, and purpose. She believes in a personalized, patient-centered approach — meeting individuals exactly where they are, whether that’s injury prevention, recovery, or returning to high performance. Her goal is to empower people with the tools and confidence they need to become the strongest, most capable version of themselves and to keep moving in ways that bring meaning and motivation to their lives. Melanie graduated from Old Dominion University with a Bachelor of Science in Exercise Science before earning her Doctor of Physical Therapy degree from Belmont University in Nashville, Tennessee. After graduation, she continued to advance her clinical expertise by completing an Orthopedic Residency through Belmont University. Although originally from the East Coast, Melanie grew up skiing in Steamboat and fell in love with the mountains. After years of trips out West, she ultimately decided to make Colorado her home.
Outside of the clinic, Melanie enjoys spending time outdoors, weightlifting, running, skiing, experimenting in the kitchen, spending time with friends and family and traveling.
