Dr. Alice M Davis

PT, DPT, OCS, FAAOMPT

Alice began her career in physical therapy in neurological rehabilitation with a special interest in working with adults 65 years young and beyond. What she learned from this experience was that the human body and mind is multidimensional and interconnected. The importance of listening and understanding the needs and goals of her patients/clients requires a trusting therapeutic relationship. Over the years, Alice has worked with adolescents, collegians and adults of any age and continued to develop skills in interpersonal dynamics, neuromusculoskeletal management, movement science, health and wellness which led her down the path to specializing in orthopedic physical therapy and higher education.

In addition to clinical practice, Alice is a Professor in the School of Physical Therapy at Regis University in Denver, CO. Her primary teaching responsibilities include kinesiology and biomechanics of the spine, orthopedics from head to toe, professional issues and leadership. Her clinical research interests include the spine, pain neuroscience education with pain management and core stabilization which stemmed from her background in Pilates rehabilitation, manual therapy and strong belief that exercise is the best medicine.

Alice serves her community and the underserved both locally in Parker and Metro Denver and has provided physical therapy services in Haiti and Ethiopia. She has held several chair and board positions for the Colorado American Physical Therapy Association and has been recognized by the Colorado Chapter via the Outstanding Physical Therapist and the Bob Doctor Service Award.
